First came his book, There is a Cure for Diabetes (North Atlantic Books, ISBM 978-1-55643-691-8). Then on June 5 the Newport International Film Festival p...

Will it be available on video? Small chance of it coming to my medium-sized west coast town. And not likely to play in theaters anyway.

Yes. The people who made it tell me that. However, I just checked Netflix, which always has any announced release dates, and they don't have it listed yet.

Will you post or let me know privately when it appears on the Netflix list? I don't subscribe but my neighbor does, and I'd really like to see it.

    Dear Vicki,

I will do my best to remember to post a comment here to you when I hear that it's available.

I suspect the participants initially did well because the diet at the Tree of Life was far better calorie wise, nutrition wise, etc than what they had previously been consuming. Also, they dropped some pounds, which helps.   But, long term I don't know.  I suspect for continued blood sugar control they will need to adopt a low-carb diet, and that might be difficult on a raw food vegan plan.  I think I read somewhere that  Bernstein says he's never seen good glucose control on a vegetarian or vegan diet.

More than 30 years ago, I read a book by Victor H. Lindlahr, who described a diet like this.

The book was written for people who wanted to loose weight, but the diet was based on his father's diet for his diabetes clinic.

I am sure it works, only it takes a bit more time and preparation than just ordinary diets.
