    With the recent German report regarding the effectiveness of benfotiamine, I wonder how this versus the drug would be viewed now? In my case I have signs of albumin in the urine while all other normal blood tests are normal.

    I've been taking two benfotiamine capsules a day for a bit over two months now. It did not reduce the albumin levels. I'm rather bummed out by that. On the other hand, I did loose 11 pounds and my A1c was 5.3.

     

    Sometimes I wonder about the quality of what's in these pills but it is from a reputable supplier.
