We often take diabetes education for granted, but educating patients is the first part of diabetes management.  Potluck Puzzles LLC is a new company working towards educating patients in a fun and interactive way.  These puzzles were created by a Registered Dietitian who saw a need for a colorful, picture-filled education tool that would create a positive patient attitude towards living with diabetes; thus promoting patient confidence and enthusiasm.  These puzzles address diabetes management and nutrition and help patients make good choices.  “We strive to provide enjoyable health puzzle booklets for all ages,” – James Mahon, President.  The booklets are designed to provide a unique and interactive approach for promoting self-management. We have received positive feedback because these puzzles directly address patient questions that are frequently asked to health care professionals.  These interactive puzzles assist medical professionals in providing fun material and empower patients to become involved in their day to day decisions in relation to diabetes management – a time saver in focusing on education topics the patient truly needs.  “This is a great education tool to use for individual counseling, have in a waiting room, at support group meetings or for simply motivating someone with diabetes to make healthy choices.” – Katherine Mahon, RD and creator<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" ?>

Potluck Puzzle’s first two booklets address diabetes control and nutrition topics.  Other topics that will be available in 2007 are; Spanish versions, Adult Nutrition, Children’s Nutrition and Obesity, and Diabetes & Pregnancy.  To find more information and to place an order, please call 888-545-8113 or visit our website at www.potluckpuzzles.com
