Even I was taking human mixtard sometime back. All of a sudden I started having these fluctuations and my doctor asked me to switch over to 4 injections a day regimen. It helps me to regulate my sugar in a better manner though it does interfere a lil' with my day to day life but still it helps me control my sugar better.Well u can continue with 30/70 insulin but u need to monitor urself n ur sugar levels more tightly, else there's no use even asking what u r asking!!!

Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at 06:09 AMHey you are taking 4 injections a day doesn't that hurt you i mean its a pretty tough job yaar hats off to you yaar na yaar and the thing is that i am not able to cope up with my sugar levels because i even skip my injections and i am tired of getting these fluctuations yaar i tell you what happened with me i was on my bike and i got those fluctuations and earlier these fluctuations were different like i used to get aware that i am under hypoglycemic condition but now adays its very different i just just this attack and everything becomes very brittle my hands my eyesight the all become very shaky and due to this factor i am not taking my shots regularly now adays because in morning i have to leave for my college and if i take this shot i get hypoglycemic and if i dont by the the i reach home it turns to hyperglycemia and i am confused what to do this is the case

Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at 01:39 PMHi Kenneth
I've been diabetic since 1980,almost 27 years now and that has made me quite exoerienced.Well in ur case I'm really disappointed coz' u r simply aggravating ur problems n my God how can u afford to skip ur insulin which is ur life saving drug, that's so shocking to me.C'mon take control of ur life n diabetes is no big deal if u know how to handle it.Do u take proper diet or not? Please let me know how ur day starts, what is it like, how does it end?If u want to make ur life better u need to give first priority to taking care of ur fluctuating sugar levels.Tell me how many units do u take in the morning n at night n what kind of diet do u take all day long?As for me I take a chapati or sugar free porridge for my b'fast, sprouts at 11a.m,some fruit at 12.30,1 chapati+1sabzi for my lunch,1-2marie biscuits with tea at 4,some fruit or salad at 7p.m. after my walk,1chapati+Daal+sabzi for my dinner.I think I can surely be of some help to u if u r determined to start taking goood care of urself!!!

Hey Kenneth
I guess u'll have to assess the cause of frequent hypoglycaemic attacks urself,I mean whether u r taking high dose of insulin or u r exercising a lot or u r not taking proper meals, only u can judge that, not even ur endocrinologist!By the way how many shots do u take?May be I can help coz'I've been diabetic for 27 years now n so many years of living with diabetes makes u like a doctor of it.
