Nordic Walking and World Diabetes Day
Nordic Walking USA
Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 12:32 PM
The 2009 World Diabetes Day is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 14th. And Nordic Walking should be promoted as an ideal option for those with diabetes that want to live a healthier lifestyle. Additional info about World Diabetes Day can be found at: http://www.worlddiabetesday.org
World Diabetes Day was introduced in 1991 by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and the World Health Organization (WHO) in response to the alarming rise in diabetes around the world. "Diabetes education and prevention" is the World Diabetes Day theme for 2009. Contact the International Diabetes Federation for more information: http://www.idf.org
Those of us that have embraced Nordic Walking as a part of our healthy lifestyle know the many benefits of walking with poles. Many of our customers at SKIWALKING.COM and The American Nordic Walking System have shared with us their personal success against diabetes and/or neuropathy.
Physical activity is key to good health and Nordic Walking Poles could help millions with diabetes exercise more effectively.
As with any new fitness activity consult your doctor first and start out with moderation.
