Well we said goodbye to 2008 last night and what a year it was...here is a year's worth of my life in less than 60 seconds...
January 2008 - New year, new pump site options
February - My blog was hit be a spammer and I lost a couple of month's worth of blogs. All I had left were comments people wrote to me on certain posts. But, I did have a great Bridal Shower to make up for it!
March - Diabetes supplies, not so eco-friendly.
April - I won the Raise your Voice design contest and got married!
May - New husband, New gym
June - Sick of being denied by insurance companies for continuous glucose monitors, I decided to fight back!
July - The CGM Anti-Denial Petition hits 500 signatures in one week. People help write letters to the New York State Health Commissioner to get CGMs mandated. I acquired The Diabetes OC.
August - Carelessness. The CGM Anti-denial Petition hits over 1000 signs in 25 days.
September - I am asked to start blogging at mydiabetescentral. The CGM-Anti Denial Petition hits 2000 signatures. On my birthday my hard work pays off. Denied again.
October - If you fight them, you will win.
November - Getting used to the CGMS. Thankful on my diabetes anniversary. I Sent the CGM-Anti denial petition. World Diabetes Day. Became the community manager of the new social network created by the JDRF Juvenation.org.
December - Tudiabetes Crusader of the year. What a way to end a crazy roller coaster of a year!
Happy New Year!! Everyone. I hope its a great one for you all!
