In December, Manny Hernandez of tudiabetes.com asked me to co-sponsor an online petition urging the new FDA leadership to recognize the need for more safe and effective treatment options for people with diabetes.
This is a really important issue, and I believe that we the people of the diabetes community can make this happen. More than 20 leaders from the diabetes community (patients, doctors, writers, advocates) stand behind the petition as co-sponsors at www.healthefda.com.

If you would like, you can also write about the petition on your own personal blog or email it to everyone you know. Tell them why you think it is important, and to spread the word about it. Invite friends and family as well. Get it out to as many people as you can!
The goal is to reach 20,000 signatures by Feb. 16. Please help us spread the word.
