I was reading an article in the Los Angeles Times yesterday about how some US States are cutting healthcare for the poor. And for me...a person just laid off from my job who also has a medical condition it is pretty much disturbing and umm... scary.

I am scared for all the other people in the United States that are sick and will not get the healthcare they need because of loss of funds in their states. I am scared for this country and what is going to happen in the future. When is this going to get better? How many people are going to die as a result of this?

How can we fix this? Can we open up free clinics ? Start fundraisers?

Quoted from the article:

"South Carolina has cut treatment for low-income women under 40 with breast or cervical cancer and stopped providing nutritional supplements for people with kidney failure."

Are you kidding me? What the hell is going on here? This is america people, if we can bail out banks and automakers we can help poor people that can't afford healthcare.

I am really scared. What do you guys think?
