    I read what you wrote about your father. Being diabetic is a life style change. it is very hard to live up to the diagnosis. It is a challenge when you have to eat but not what you want, but only what you need. Your father needs encouragement. I have diabetes and have been in and out of denile for about 8 years. I still stop all of the suggested treatments, and meds and correct eating but then about a week later I come to my senses and start all over.
