I am very excited and want to toot my horn!

Its offical that I now have lost 28.5 pounds since June 1st and the best news is that my A1c was 5.3 when my blood work was taken on December 6th.

I started Byetta on June 1st and have great success with it.  I was taking 10mg of Glipizide twice a day before breakfast and dinner. My medications have been tweaked again and I now take:

5mg Glipizide in the morning before breakfast.

10mcg Byetta twice a day, before breakfast and dinner.

1000mg Metformin twice a day, after lunch and dinner.

I have found Byetta controls my carb cravings (bad carbs).  I only experienced nauesa at the inital dose.  I am so pleased with my progress and I do watch what I  eat and walk.  I can only do between 120 to 140 carbs a day.  I do want to continue loosing weight.

I still am having problems with high blood pressure.  It was running 180/90 in February.  Since June is has been running around 140/78 at my doctor visits. I take Benicar 40/25. I am very close to being normal and will continue to make lifestyle changes.

Well everyone have a great day!
