Boy does time fly by fast! I am doing great! I have maintained a 50 pound weight loss and still am on Byetta 10mcg 2x a day, Metform 1000mg 2x day, Glipizde ER 5mg once a day (this was tweaked in June - I was getting too many lows with regular Glipizde), Benicar 40/25mg once day, Lovaza (Prescription Fish Oil) 2 caps 2x a day, Simvastatin 80mg, plus vitamins & herbs. A1C - 5.4 Woo Hoo! God is so Good! Finding the right combination of medications is the key and I have an excellent endocrinologist!
I was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Skin Cancer in the Situ (Bowen's Disease) in March and had my surgery May 13th. It was on my left leg outer edge about 2 inches above my ankle and the skin graft was taken from my midriff area. On May 26th the stitches were removed from my leg and graft site. Well needless to say the graft site didn't heal and opened up, bummer! I was also allergic to non allergenic tape too boot! The graft site has finally healed, I had to wear a rubberized black belt to hold the gauze. It was a journey to say the least. Even had a pity party 
saying I wish I didn't have the surgery for surely it would of taken 20 years to kill me. Well needless to say time does heal and naturally we all want instant healing! God chose a different pathway and I thank Him I am cancer free!

Oh PS I finally convinced my daughter to see an endocrinologist and she is now on Byetta only and has lost 9 pounds in three weeks.
