Type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension, diet, and exercise
Diagnosed a Type 2 diabetic since 2004. Was on Metformin, Actos, and Amaryl some time ago, but adopted an "anti-diabetes diet" and daily exercise for a few months. This lowered my A1c to a surprising 5.3% and it has remained normal since December 2006 without medication. In addition, my cholesterol, blood pressure and other indicators are also normal. Now I am a believer in the power of lifestyle intervention in controlling and preventing disease. I love to share my experience in hope that others like me, who may be somewhat concerned about the side effects of some medications can believe that there is a natural option which can be effective.
