It may not be the drugs at all, She may have Bppv which is called benign positional vertigo, and may need the "Eply manuver" to put the crystals in her inner ear back in place the procedure is called "canilith repositioning", an ear doc can help with the diagnosis or a physical therypist. I have had this problem for 34 years. Look online for the "eply manuver" and see if her symptoms match, it may be a coincidence when she started the meds that she got vertigo when in fact she has bppv, this procedure will take away her provlem but is not fun.  Hope I helped  Susan B

    Hi SGodzina,

Sorry to hear your mother is experiencing problems.  I did some looking on the site and there is  some information about both of the medications you listed. This is great information to have when it's time to speak to your mothers doctor.

The Glucophage you can read about here. The Cozaar listing is here. One of the side effects listed is dizziness and light headedness. You might want to ask your mom's doctor about that.

Take care and stay in touch, let us know how you're doing!
