Type 1/Juvenile Diabetic since Age 2

By Divabetic Wednesday, September 29, 2010

I was diagnosed on my the day before my 2nd birthday with type 1 diabetes.

I've tried every insulin (animal to human) on the market I could take via syringe for almost 32 years.

Since becoming diabetic I have have had complications and set backs.  Particularly ove the past 8 years.  I have suffered 11 heart attacks, have a quintuple bypass at 26, and was classified permanently disabled at 32. Thru the years due to my health, inability to work and lack of employment, I have often had to be with our healthcare and depend on the help of local free clinics and $4-30 gerenic drugs.

Now I'm disabled - with a very fixed income and the government still won't help me with healthcare.

I want to be healthy, I want oto live to be 80-90, but how can I with the familial onset of so many diseases and lack of help with healthcare?
