There is a good article here about gestational diabetes, some tips on how to handle it and when to determine that it might not be just gestational. According to a study, an estimated 135,000 women experience gestational diabetes every year. It also states that women who get gestational diabetes are at a greater risk to get type 2 diabetes later in life.
