Having diabetes and being sick on top of it

Diabetes is hard enough to deal with-without being sick. But together is terribly miserable. I caught oral thrush from my Mom about 5 days ago. I am on oral Nystatin which clears it up. But it is painful to have thrush. I take it 4 x a day for 10 days. Then 2 day's ago I woke up in the middle of the night, with my whole left side of my face swollen. I couldn't even open my left eye. It was from an abcessed tooth. So now I am on Cipro for that. When it rains it pours.
