I Need Advice Please

By LadyMagnolia1963 Monday, August 11, 2008

I am a little confused about this quandry, so I figured you guys could help me out.

I'll do the short version for the most part Ü. I have been sick for 3 months now. I went to my Drs. last Tuesday for the oral thrush, he gave me a prescription that I have been taking and am on my way to recovery Ü.

Now is the quandry part. While being sick my sugar was always high-no matter what I ate. I am a T2. Now for the last 4 days I can barely inch my sugar up? It drops to like 77, 85, maybe 150 if I eat a full meal. I find myself staying cold and shaky when my sugar drops. I have never had this happen before. I am going on 7 years as a diabetic. I'm not on any new medicines or anything.

Example Before I ate my PBJ sandwich I checked my sugar it was 84. I made the sandwich on w/wbread & sugar free strawberry jelly. Almost to the two hour mark I got really cold and I got shaky. So I tested my sugar and it was 107. Last week this would have put me in the 200's. I know that now that I am no longer sick my numbers will be better. I have just never had these lows-but I like them Ü.

HUGS~Donna

Hi! What activity did you do after eating the PBJ sandwich? Watch the telly...go do laundry...take a walk in the garden? Not an expert or anything..just recall my own symptoms when the levels go down and all. Now I have to be careful cause of some other meds I'm on that mask my cues when they drop. 1 stomach growls cause I'm hungry...later my belly area burns a bit(not always)...then later if I still don't check the #s and refuel my arms sting and/or burn...and sometimes it'll be my legs that start to sting and quiver a bit.I don't usually let things go too far till I check my #s and then only as of late I am more sensible abt what I refuel(eat) with. NO MORE Snickers for me. Maybe those bars like you do. Later and take care..piddler
