Hi Michelle: This is such a tough question that simple comments will not do it justice. Since this issue pops up so many times in my day to day contact with my patients and families, you have inspired me to write my next blog about it: "Letting go..." Look for it in the next several weeks. A very simple answer: how do you let them go? You just have to because they need to leave. The strategy is preparation and peace of mind. Looking forward to your comments shortly.
