I have been through an amazing journey. I'm sure I'm not the only one obviously, since Diabetes affects millions of people all around the world. I am not a medical doctor, just your average layman who is required to take a needle and stick it in his skin daily and administer a dose of insulin.

But Diabetes is not my only affliction. I have heart problems, gout, high blood pressure and severe sleep apnea. So much so that if I don't sleep with a breathing machine, the night I close my eyes could be my last one. But this isn't the important part.

What's important is the journey I have taken to get here. A couple of years ago I faced a certain death. But because of people who entered my life, a miracle occured. The story is too long to put down here, but part of the story is about weight loss and it's effect on my diabetes. I told my story to a few people and a family member was flabergasted at the response that we were getting after relaying my story.

Thanks to God and Two marvelous Heart surgeons and their team I am here to give thanks and appreciate life. As a result of my good fortune I started a health website, with Articles and tips to help people. It is not a commercial site.

But because of the amazing response from people who have heard my story, a family member has put it in book form and the book will be released soon.  Notification of the Book's release will be made on our website. Even with the problems that still plague me, I am so happy and thankfull to be alive. I have a beautiful family and great friends.

Diabetes can do terrible things, but it doesn't have to control ,your life, if you don't let it.
