It's easy to consume hundreds of calories while standing in front of the refrigerator before we even know it. Decide what you want to eat, put it on a plate, sit down and enjoy. The mealtime experience plays into our feeling of satisfaction. If we don't act like we're eating a meal, we often forget that we have and want to eat again later -- this can lead to overeating and weight gain.
