In the last week or so, Sienna has reached some baby
milestones. She's rolling over, sitting
facing forward in her stroller, sitting in her high chair, and generally

Hello,
your baby is absolutely beautiful!
my baby is around the same age as yours - she was born December 10, which makes her 7 months old in a week.
(I am not a diabetic, but my husband has been recently diagnosed as one.)
I totally know what you're talking about when you speak about using your diabetes to really take care of yourself so that your baby can have best start possible. My mother is a diabetic and told me that although she didn't have diabetes when she was pregnant with me, they were finding her sugars a bit high so she had to be careful with me. Because I knew my family history I did the same thing. Actually, the "fortunate" thing for me was that sugar (in juices even) made me feel nauseous in the first few months. Staying away from them was easy. :-)
Having a baby is exciting, eh?
Congratulations.

Hi Kathy,
Thanks for the comment! You're wise to be diligent about your health since you have a family history of diabetes. Really, the diabetic diet is what everyone should follow. Plus, eating healthfully as a family can help keep everyone on track. And truly, there's nothing like your baby to keep you motivated to be healthy!
Congratulations on your baby daughter! They are such a joy :)
