Wow, as busy as you are you've found time for this, how wonderful! Gracie says to say Hi to you, she thinks you are a movie star now that your picture is on the internet....

I do have a question, regarding resources for training at school, do you have a particular

book or website that you might refer to me so I can access it for our school training this year? Grace will be entering third grade and I would also like to find something for her to use to address her peers.

Hi Mrs. Conklin! Please say "hi" to Gracie for me. I am glad that you have checked out this site. I will be submitting weekly blogs... I think the best sites for diabetes in the school are from the Barbara Davis Center:  http://www.uchsc.edu/misc/diabetes/books/firstbook/firstbook23.pdf   This site was  from the companion book to the Pink Panther "Understanding Diabetes". You can also check the ADA website which provides more information for schools. These sites are great starts! Gracie (or you) could make a simple powerpoint presentation with information from those sites. I also think we have provided information about schools from our CNMC Diabetes team if you check your records.

Hope this helps,

DrC
