Thursday, June 04, 2009 at 08:06 AMI have been following these guys for some time. I believe the drug will be a huge breakthrough (I'm hopeful anyway) Based on this brief but thorough slideshow link below I think Human trials should be starting sometime in 2010....

Thursday, June 04, 2009 at 04:02 PMFran... I am really praying for this one. After 35 years of the rollercoaster I'm so ready to get off. It's physically and emotionally draining and its difficult to not be depressed. If you go to their website they have a fairly recent article in PDF format under the "In THE NEWS" section. I am hoping once human trials start and it proves safe and effective they will move quickly as possible to get it commercialized.

Monday, June 08, 2009 at 10:17 AMThanks, Scott: I just read your interview. Apparently JDRF agreed with your insights! I understand that Dr. Zion will have various speaking engagements on behalf of JDRF. I know he will be speaking in the DC area in the next few weeks. I have several families that will be attending; so we will be informed on the latest. Keep me posted if you find any other information!

No more hypos -- no more pump :)

Tuesday, June 09, 2009 at 06:41 PMDear Dr. Cogan,
It's so refreshing when doctors aspire to keep-up with all the stuff coming down the pick. Companies are working on some amazing things for the treatment of diabetes - but if there's one thing I PROMISE I will NEVER MISS about diabetes....it's the HYPOS!
Thanks so much for checking-out Smart Insulin ® and posting your insightful thoughts on the subject. I can't wait for the blessed-day it hits the market!
Always,
Allie

I like HighWire Press out of Stanford better than Google Scholar. If you haven't already, you might want to try it.
