I appreciate this site. My husband is a 15 year post kidney transplant patient from UH in Denver, CO he has done very well and in the last two years began to see effects of all the meds. He now is on insulin and been diagnosed with cancer. The kidney has taken so many hits and we are trying to stall dialysis by going on Dr. Walser's diet from Hopkins, and amino supplements. Its working but a no protein diet lends to more carbs will this create a problem in his sugar and numbers? We are following the diet closely right now and it is helping his kidney.
