Resveratrol is being recommended as a natural help for Diabetes and general health

By davtho66 Thursday, November 29, 2007

Doctors now prescribe Resveratrol to help with diabetes and general health.  a friend of mine has had success with biotivia transmax and now has more even energy and is sleeping better.  It apparentlhy also has anti-aging properties.

A number of beneficial health effects, such as anti-cancer, antiviral, neuroprotective, anti-aging, anti-inflammatory and life-prolonging effects have been reported with resveratrol (see Wikipedia's discussion), but there are no studies that I am aware of to support its use in treatment of diabetes. Nor am I aware of any doctors who prescribe it (although probably some do...).

Studies have been done on animals which show a modulation of sugar levels and because of this several clinical trials are being conducted outside the country, notably in India.  There has been anecdotal eveidence from people taking high doses of resveratrol 2g/day that there sugar spikes have been greatly reduced.  I have also heard of much improved cholesterol levels with patients on Resveratrol at 500mg day.

I started taking 2000 mg/day of resverarol.  My insulin requirements went down 50%.

(most resveratrol seems to come from China)

(large quantities of resveratrol are a laxative.)
