Going back to college was the best thing I could have ever done. I fell and severely broke my arm in 2003. I did not heal correctly and I have nerve damage and constant pain and numbness in my right hand. I decided it was time for me to pursue my education and do something I have always wanted to do. Being a medical assistant is going to allow me to help other people and educate them about their illnesses. I would love to work with diabetics or in a pain management clinic so I can help them learn how to manage their blood sugar and pain levels as I have had to do.

Good for you! Stick with it...sometimes going back to school is tough and with your nerve damage it may seem tougher, but the reward at the end of having accomplished your goal and working in an area you enjoy is worth the effort.
