Hello all!
A few months ago I reached out to our experts about the design of MyDiabetesCentral.com. "What would you change?" I asked.
Here's a random smattering of their responses:
"It's too cluttered"
"It's hard to read"
"Need a better way to sort relevant shareposts"
They were right -- and so we acted. For the past few months we sat in rooms covered in white boards, scribbling our ideas for the change we wanted to achieve -- we wanted to bring richer, more relevant content to you, in the easiest way possible.
We're delighted to bring these changes to you today. They include:
- Less clutter, with better links to more relevant articles
- Easier to read layout and format (check out one of our sharepost pages, for example)
- Better organized topic pages (I like this one)
- A new system of organizing SharePosts by topic (you can now tag everything you write)
- A new marketplace to find condition-relevant products
- Clearer, easier to use navigation (we left behind the rails on all of our pages for one clean bar at the top of each page).
- Ability to rate articles
Here's the best part: This is just phase one.
We're looking for your feedback (please comment on anything you like/dislike, or anywhere you see a chance for improvement) for our next round of redesigns.
So please, hang out for a while, see what's new, and let us know what you think!
Thanks everyone!
Krystle
Producer, MyDiabetesCentral.com
