I have had diabetes for 10 years and my blood sugars are never normal.  They are in the 200-300 range.  My doctor recently said that he wants me to be in the 200's for awhile then he will work on the 100 range.  I haven't had any real complications except for the time i went into ketoacidocis and i was in a coma for 9 days in the hospital for 15 days though.  That was in march of 2006.  I am not on any diet but i want to get on a diet.  I am trying to guage what diet and i was thinking the overeaters anonymous diet would be good.  Diabetes has been a constant struggle and it doesn't get any easier.  The doctor thinks i am more type 1 because he says that i am too young to be type 2.
