I was diagnosed about 10 years ago with type II and i was at around 263 lbs. Spent a whole lot of time taking meds but eating what i want (being conservative at times). Now i realize that it's up to me to eat the right things and find the right balance between foods, exercise, and meds. I know i'll always have diabetes, but i want to live a healthier life while i'm here. I'm holding on to hope that by improving my habits, finding a doctor that will listen, and 'staying the course', that i'll be able to set a better example for my kids and grandchildren.
