mood swings and denial in type 2 diabetes and drinking

By PAUL Wednesday, August 20, 2008

I have just completed my divorce forms this evening to start divorce proceedings against my wife who has type 2 diabetes. We have been together 4ys and married for 11 months  - she left the family home after 3months marriage saying I was violent towards her - I never have  - the hurt is too much.

She rages and shouts, is abusive and in denial and has a serious drink problem - she takes no meds and doesn't eat correctly. I have heard her drinking has increased.

Me and my daughter receive the brunt of it and the blame even though we are seperated.

The blame and rages have caused me to remove my daughter from the family home at times and sit in the corner crying as she verbally abused me.

This is not a life it is a living hell - we are just to lose our house as the property is being repossessed - her drinking comes first and everyone or thing is to blame.

This disease is awful for someone who drinks and doesn't look after themselves and more so for loved ones who have to live with it -witnessing someone you once loved destroy themselves in denial is a living death - it tares your heart out !

I am sorry to be frank but we have to move away as the hurt is too much to take witnessing someone destroy themselves with no regard as to the impact it as on others.
