    Hi Never Been Happier,

     

    Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. It is fabulous that you have found something that works for you! While nothing can take the place of your doctor's advice, it is good to read from experiences like yours to form the questions everyone should ask of their own physician.


    While diabetes can not be cured, it can be controlled and it appears you have found a good plan for controlling yours. However everyone is different. Here are some links that will help you find information about the various diets recommended by the American Diabetes Association. Also I have been following David Mendosa's articles for years. He has developed a glycemic index that is very helpful. Gretchen Becker also has a good article here about doctors and diets, told with a bit of humor.
