Diabetes Awareness MonthAre You at Risk for Type 2 Diabetes?

Really good news

I just got my 6month HBa1C results and it was a 5.8!  I've gone from 10 to 5.8 in 6 months. Triglycerides from 499 to 102, total cholesterol from 300 to 170 (the lowest it has ever been).  And I lost 50lbs. I quit eating fast food and sodas and started eating properly.  Doc has taken me off all drugs.  Yippee!

I have a question though, my daily checks still have me slightly elevated 110-115, so how can I have a normal A1C?  So am I cured?

Also, I get real shakey and wobbly when my BG drops below 80, usually after exercise.  Will that ever stop?
