I realize there are a lot of folks out there struggling to pay for the basic supplies and medications they need to care for their diabetes. The high cost is one of the shittiest things about having this shitty disease, if you'll excuse my candor.   I'm amazed at how many people on the new com...

Don't forget to vote for Obama- his healthcare plan is much closer to universal coverage than is McCain's, which is essentially a kickback to the HMOs which give him money.  The fact that all other industrialized countries have universal healthcare AND it's cheaper than our system is a travesty of justice.  Sick people in a wealthy country should not have to beg for treatment from HMOs and pharmaceutical companys whose profits are in the $billions by exploiting the sick.  Let's all unite and demand universal healthcare- if other countries can do it, we can too.

Many people have the same situation, and the best solution I have found is a website - www.TheDiabeticPlan.com

They offer diabetic supplies at a LARGE discount, and the meter they use is better than my One-Touch.

Saving money now is so important.

I like many people have a hard time with health insurence, because of my diabetes and gastro parisis, I cannot get regular health insurence as they won't cover me. I am one of those people that are struggling to make ends meet drowning in debt and having to work 2 jobs just to afford a discount plan that dosn't cover many things thatcan go wrong, I recently had horiffic pains in my chest and my left arm went numb all classic signs of a heart attack but I could not go to the doctors or hospital because I could not afford it and had on coverage, it is a shame that this country is rulled by the rich and not the people.

I have been trying to pay for my Diabetes supplies and meds for years now and just when I think I can cover it I find that I am wrong. I am a truckdriver with almost 2 million miles under my belt with no accidents and am very close to loosing my licence because I don't have health Insurence any more. My health has been going downhill because I can only take my Meds when I can afford to buy them. I was resently given 2 new meds to take, that raised my cost another $300. I ran out of them last week and don't get payed untel after the first of the month with no chance for an advance. over the last 15 years I have spent a lot of time not taking the drugs that I need to live because I don't have the money to buy them. I also don't drink, smoke, or do any recreational drugs. what is a person to do but Die a long and painful death. I want to live to see my family grow up.
