The Diabetic Plan
Kashdin
Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 02:30 PMMany people have the same situation, and the best solution I have found is a website - www.TheDiabeticPlan.com
They offer diabetic supplies at a LARGE discount, and the meter they use is better than my One-Touch.
Saving money now is so important.

Insurence
Anonymous
Friday, September 19, 2008 at 10:18 AMI like many people have a hard time with health insurence, because of my diabetes and gastro parisis, I cannot get regular health insurence as they won't cover me. I am one of those people that are struggling to make ends meet drowning in debt and having to work 2 jobs just to afford a discount plan that dosn't cover many things thatcan go wrong, I recently had horiffic pains in my chest and my left arm went numb all classic signs of a heart attack but I could not go to the doctors or hospital because I could not afford it and had on coverage, it is a shame that this country is rulled by the rich and not the people.

The cost of Meds and supplies
Danny
Sunday, September 21, 2008 at 01:53 AMI have been trying to pay for my Diabetes supplies and meds for years now and just when I think I can cover it I find that I am wrong. I am a truckdriver with almost 2 million miles under my belt with no accidents and am very close to loosing my licence because I don't have health Insurence any more. My health has been going downhill because I can only take my Meds when I can afford to buy them. I was resently given 2 new meds to take, that raised my cost another $300. I ran out of them last week and don't get payed untel after the first of the month with no chance for an advance. over the last 15 years I have spent a lot of time not taking the drugs that I need to live because I don't have the money to buy them. I also don't drink, smoke, or do any recreational drugs. what is a person to do but Die a long and painful death. I want to live to see my family grow up.

Don't forget to vote for Obama- his healthcare plan is much closer to universal coverage than is McCain's, which is essentially a kickback to the HMOs which give him money. The fact that all other industrialized countries have universal healthcare AND it's cheaper than our system is a travesty of justice. Sick people in a wealthy country should not have to beg for treatment from HMOs and pharmaceutical companys whose profits are in the $billions by exploiting the sick. Let's all unite and demand universal healthcare- if other countries can do it, we can too.
