    For me tight control & low A1C ( 5.3 over the last 2 years) has been accomplished by exercise ( 3.5 miles on my gazelle nightly) and Atkins. My normal readings are in the mid 80's to low 90's for the most part, with the occasional spike into the very low 100's ( and I mean like maybe once a month). Everyone is different, but this is working for me. LDL very low, HDL very high (105!) all in all a great ( for me) life.
