Neuropathy

By alg35536 Sunday, October 28, 2007

What can anyone tell me about this. I was just recently diagnosed with type 2. I had some problems and the NP referred me for a EMG test. It came back positive.

I have also had problems with swelling in my legs ( another symptom that I was unaware of) and she dismissed it. She said that I was just diagnosed with borderline T 2 that it probally want' related.

Any help would be great.

Hi There!

I too have some neuropathy in my toes and feet. It comes and goes, it's not all the time. I find that walking (exercize) tends to help. I also found an article that explains neuropathy, lists some of the symptoms and gives some great insight here. I found it helpful.

As far as the swelling, I am not sure what medications you are on, but I was prescribed Actos for a time and that caused edema and so I stopped. Is it possible the medication you are taking might contribute to the swelling in your legs?

Let us know how you are doing!
