Neuropathy

What can anyone tell me about this. I was just recently diagnosed with type 2. I had some problems and the NP referred me for a EMG test. It came back positive. I have also had problems with swelling in my legs ( another symptom that I was unaware of) and she dismissed it. She said that I was just diagnosed with borderline T 2 that it probally want' related. Any help would be great.
