Thank you for the info on Splenda. I have been wondering about it. I have days when I wake up with nausea, maybe I should pay more attention to when I drink or eat something with Splenda and see how I feel later.

Thanks a lot for your story, its so crazy because I have had the nausea and depression thing also. A friend asked me if there was anything I was eating in excess, and it is splenda in my coffee, I have a cup of coffe 3X per day with at least 4 tablespoons of Splenda in each cup. I just started doing this about 1 and a half months ago. I kept blaming the nausea on sinus', even though sometimes I wasn't stuffed. Today and yesterday I only had one cup, and today I feel different, I have more energy, and not one minute of nasea. So thank you for your story, it really helped to confirm what I was thinking, thanks!

    Hi,

I have found a great use for the powdered form of Splenda.

    Try this experiment...

1.) Find a Ant hill and sprinkle 3/4 cup of Splenda around it.

2.) Watch the little cridders snatch it up and take it home...

    2.) Wait about 5 days....

    3.) and Presto...  NO ANTS

What you have done is called "generalization".  That's the application of a single incident to an entire population.  Generalization as you are applying it is both false and misleading.  If the scientific world followed your model, there would be no miracle drugs since in all cases there are some undesirable side effects.

I have no vested interest in Splenda or its corporate owners, I just feel irresponsible comments such as yours need to be answered.  No matter how late that answer might be.

Two postings of adverse effects don't constitute a trend.

I'm a 65 yr old male and I had the same nausea problem for a couple of years.  After consulting numerous doctors who couldn't find the problem I happened on info from another site about splenda.  After discontuing Splenda I have no nausea.  Now we have an example of three experiencing this adverse affect.
