Hi Dr, Bill I have a question.  What would Reglan, Compazine or any other nausea drugs do to a dosage of Byetta?  Are they contraindicated for this medication?  Would they diminish the effects of Byetta?  I take these now for help with migraines.  i don't know what'...

    Hi Blythe,

I know you directed your questions to Dr Bill Quick, but I did some searching and found some information for you to hold you till you hear from him.

David Mendosa who has personal experience with Byetta did some research about the nausea associated with Byetta. While David did not experience much nausea himself, he did find out alot of information from those who did. You can read the entire article here but here is an excerpt: "This doctor, unlike the one I spoke to at the customer support center, was willing to give advice about how to deal with nausea, as long as I don't use his name. The key, he said, was to minimize the amount of fat that we eat."

In my experience, this is good advice. So is not overeating, or eating past the point of feeling full. I have only experienced the nausea in both of these cases.

I hope this helps! Take care and stay in touch and let us know how you are doing!!

    Hi Blythe,

Just checking in to see how you are doing? Has there been anymore information from your doctor, or are you still having nausea problems with Byetta? I know one of the things I have noticed, and this is a listed issue, is that high fat foods can make you ill when you are taking Byetta. So I had to give up my weekly hot dog :( and a couple other things I shouldn't be eating anyway. I miss the Sabrette's tho. lol

Let us know how you are doing and if there is anything that is working for you. Perhaps someone else can benefit from your experiences!

    Take care!
