I love it!! This just made my day! I am patiently waiting for a pancreas transplant. I had one in '06 but I got an infection and they had to take it out after only 2 weeks! So, now I have antibodies and am a hard match. I am also going to have a kidney transplant, my brother is my exact match.
I have had diabetes 40 years. I have worked for JDRF in the past and for the Diabetes Treatment Centers of America. If you ever need a person to be in a trial give me a shout.
Thank you for your happy news.

Did you read the sharepost on AAT and Dr. Eli Lewis? This really pertains to your situation! Food for thought!

This post was written by Dr. Lewis. Trials for AAt are currently underway and in a couple more weeks they will retest the first patient to check AAT levels! Feel free to leave Dr. Lewis a comment, he generally answers them.
