Hi! I am a type 1 diabetic for over 30 years now. My endocrinolgist has scheduled me for an insulin pump. My husband and I will be attending a pump retreat the middle of October.  I am both nervous and excited at the same time. Medtronic Recalls Quick-set Infusion Sets (Lots starting with 8)

Moody Diabetes?

My daughter was diagnosed 2years ago-age 14- and is still considered in the "honeymoon stage" This means her total intake of insulin based on body weight is very low (equal to the insulin dose of a 5 year old)because her pancreas is still producing insulin.  We were told the older you are when diagnosed, the shorter the honeymoon period.... Read moreChevron
