pain pump vs oral pain meds

I have a question, I went off all my oral pain meds in 6-11. Now I'm feeling all my pain. I looked into the pain pump. I'm now awaiting proir authorization from the Insurance. Is a person with alzheimer capeable of killing someone or causing bodily harm. My father in-law is a strong man. And i belive capeable of killing anyone whom he might think is doing harm to his dog.
