Type two and not over weight

I am a 20 year type two diabetic and I am not,(nor have I ever been), over weight.  And my problem is?   Well, sometimes I feel like I'm the only one.  All of the diet info is done to help you lose weight, and even the nutricionists treat me that way.  I'd like to know if anyone else is in the same situation.
