Who Gets Diabetes?

At a Glance

Fast food, soda and white bread are all high in calories and low in nutritional value. If you eat more of this kind of food than fruits, vegetables and lean meat, you may be more likely to develop diabetes. If you don't get 30 minutes of exercise three times a week, that also increases your risk. Finally, your genes can make you more likely to develop diabetes as well.
