how to get sugar down after fasting
Henry-
Hello! I remember when I was having the same issue as you. My bg's weren't as high but they would run between 130-150. You may be experiencing problems with the Dawn Phenomenon. The Dawn Phenomenon is where certain hormones are released in the morning and it cause your blood sugar to rise. There are many ways to control the Dawn Phenomenon. I have watched the number of carbs I eat at night, cut out the bedtime snack, I changed my morning basal rate; I use a insulin pump. I use to walk at night and I noticed a big change in my morning bg's. You should talk to your Physician, he (she) will be able to tell you what to do to lower your fasting bg's.
