In short, no.  Watermelon is a high GI fruit (in fact, all melons are).  This means it spikes your blood glucose.  Decidous and citrus fruits are much better, as they have a low GI, and therefore release their sugar into your bloodstream more slowly.

Yes! Watermelon has no cholesterol, no fat, itis 92% water, it is good in vitamin C D E A and other nutrients. It is good to eat anything in moderation, however as a diabetic I overeat when it come to a good watermelon I then take my bloodsugar and it okay in good and safe range
