what is a good level to maintain?
That is up to her doctors. First, by speaking with an endocrinologist in addition to her OB/GYN, she can set up a good health maintenance plan. The doctors will give her a goal for testing, tell her when to test and give her the correct medications. It's important that she see an Endo now so she can manage the last 3 weeks. If she's testing her blood sugars regularly, she should be below 120-130 an hour after meals, between 80-100 before them. Good luck and have fun. In my 23rd week here, diabetic and have a great doctor to help me through, so it can be done!!!
