Yes!  Your blood sugar must be kept in control and for some of us we have to take medication.  The trigs and cholestrol medications are important to keep the cholestrol overall numbers down.  Your blood pressure medication is important to keep it normal and not high.  All of the medications do several things for the body - one keeps your blood sugar in a control range and two will reduce your chances of having a stroke.   High Blood pressure, High Cholestrol and High Trigs are common with Diabetes.

I am the first one that will complain about taking a lot of medication.  I do believe your doctor has to work with you to find the right combination that works for your body.  It took me six years to find a doctor that would work with me not just write out the prescription.

Once you can get everything in control and down your doctor should be able to tweak your medication.

Good Luck!
