Pc-

Truvia was created from the leaves of stevia.  Maybe it's being called artificial because it's not actually stevia.

truvia don't grow on trees- the natural sweetener is stevia, a plant extract, which you can buy in health food stores

It's called "artificial" because it is manufactured.  It is true that it comes from the leaves of the stevia palnt, but in order to make Truvia, the leaves have to be processed by steeping in water, drying the resulting product, and then purifying it.
