Hi!   Get a tattoo that says "diabetic" or "type one diabetic" and you will never need a bracelet ever in your life. Be sure to find a source that does tattoo work in a clean environment, and over a life time, it is the cheapest way to go!   I've had diabetes type one for 35 years, and the money I've spent on medical bracelets, well it could probably buy a car! LOL! A tattoo is a lot cheaper, and more "permanent"! You can do a fancy one if you want as well, with the two snakes on a pole medical emblem symbol in color even! Or simple!   And if you are really desperate and can't afford a tattoo, each time you leave home and need to be sure you are i.d.ed. in case of emergency, buy a "sharpee" marker, and write your condition on yourself in a place where emergency personel can read it.   New Orleans, Louisiana during Hurricane Katrina, they told residents to write Social Security numbers on themselves who or whom decided to stay with a Sharpee Marker so  they could identify them if they died later. Not the best thing, to die, but a Sharpee definitely works for ID in an emergency and is really cheap to  use! It doesn't wash off easy, and can be used over and over when it finally does wear off. And if you are "artistically inclined" a saharpee can do a design as nice as a tattoo!   Later...   DJ
