Hi! I wish I could give you an answer to your question but I can't. There are a lot of insurance companies out there who cover diabetes. I am not sure what clause they have. You will have to research the info with your employer. I do have one piece of advise, make sure the health plan you decide to go with doesn't have any pre existing clauses, not good if there is one.  They will not cover your diabetes supplies or anything to do with diabetes for up to a year.
